VDP Cotes & Catalanes
Vins de pays are wines produced in a very limited geographical area.
The varietals used in the crafting of these wines are subject to a very specific list.
In France there are 152 denominations of vins de pays grouped into five great geographic regions.
It is in the south that their development is the most important. To the East of the Franceles, vins de pays are less well-known.
Champagne and Alsace do not produce any.
The following are the five regions:
- Vin de pays de l'Atlantique et du comté Tolosan:

- Vin de pays et des comités rhodaniens:

dans la région Languedoc Roussillon: Aude, Gard, Hérault and Pyrénées- orientale
- Vins de pays méditerranéens:
Provence Corse: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence Alpes-Maritimes Ardèche Bouches-du-Rhône Drôme Hautes-Alpes Var Vaucluse
- Vin de pays du Val de Loire:
Vallée de la Loire: Allier Cher l'Indre, l'Indre-et-Loire Loir-et-Cher, Loire Atlantique, Loiret, Maine-et-Loire, Nièvre, Puy-de-Dôme, Sarthe Deux-Sèvres Vendée and Vienne.
